Airport pick up will be provided on the 30th of June please send us your flight details when you book your flights. Drop offs will also be provided on the 5th of July.

The living quarters are like fully furnished apartments. Each apartment has six individual rooms, each with a single bed. If you are a couple there is an option of choosing a room with a double bed. If you want to live in the same apartment as your friends, you will need to indicate this on the registration form, otherwise we will assign you a room.

We will place you in an apartment with people that are roughly the same age, and the same gender.

 There will be two packages for congress registration. One is all-inclusive, and the other includes everything except accommodation. The package without accommodation is meant for local ZSBC members who already live in the area.

Unfortunately, due to space constraints in lecture halls and at evening venues we are capping the age at 40 years.

The Events Team will have bus services running at pre-determined times to and from the venue. If you miss the bus service then you will have to take a taxi at your own cost to reach the Congress Venues.

 The 5WZYC is an all inclusive congress. This will include Registration, Accomodation, Transportation, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Boat Cruise, Excursions, Sports, Gala Dinners and much more.

Yes you can provided you fill out the section with regards to preferences to share rooms with in the registration form.

Yes, there will be someone waiting for you at the airport to transport you to UBC when you arrive. You will also be transported back to the airport at the end of the congress. Transportation to and from the airport will only be provided on June 30th and July 5th.

Please email us if you are planning on attending with children we will provide you babysitting prices and accommodations option available.

Parking in our Gage Lot is $7/night plus 12% HST. If our lot becomes full guests will have to park in the North Parkade. Please see UBC Parking Services’ website for rate details: http://www.parking.ubc.ca/visitor_rates.html

Housekeeping service will include beds made daily, towels changed daily, linen changed after four (4) days and weekly thereafter.

If you will be arriving in Vancouver before June 30th, or will be staying after July 5th and would like to continue your stay at UBC, you can book a room with them directly. When booking please inform them that you are a guest of the World Zoroastrian Youth Congress.The cost of the room is between $60-$65/night and includes breakfast.

In July the weather in Vancouver is typically warm, however, rain is always a possibility. Having a rain proof jacket/umbrella with you will be beneficial for sightseeing and the amazing race activity that we have planned.

  • Please dress in business casual for all morning speaker sessions and the opening ceremonies (no flip flops please)
  • July 1st: Dinner harbour cruise – semi formal
  • July 4th: Closing ceremonies – Formal dress

This is a strictly alcohol-free event which will be firmly enforced.

Please fly into YVR - Vancouver International Aiport as it is the closest airport to the congress venue.
